Max was born and raised in Traverse City, Michigan, where he graduated from St. Francis High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Alma College, during which, he completed one semester at the University of Wollongong, Australia. In 2013, Max earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIALPLANNER™ certification.

He hails from a family where parents and many extended family members were self-employed which led to Max’s deep appreciation for the challenges and corresponding rewards being a business owner provides. It was his entrepreneurial upbringing which motivated him to acquire his own practice, servicing family-owned businesses much like his own.

Professionally, Max has been serving families and business owners since 2004. The difference from most of the industry is that he provides a multi-family office experience. By utilizing the talented team of planning specialists at Blueprint / Lincoln Financial Advisors, his team can provide unique advice to his clients to protect their families, businesses, and assets. Blueprint provides a fee-for-service business model to ensure clients have access to the resources of a large company along with the personal attention they need to establish, implement and monitor a financial plan towards success. Max finds his client-base fully appreciates the fee-for-service model versus fees being based upon the purchase of financial products, which is the predominant practice in most of the industry.

Outside of the office, Max spends family time with his wife Peggy, daughter Marina, and son Roman. Max is an avid waterski enthusiast and when it is too cold to waterski he also enjoys mountain biking, boating and alpine skiing. He is also an active member of St. Patrick's Church and serves this community on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Northwestern Michigan whose mission is to provide opportunity and hope for at-risk children to succeed.
